ALASKA {Mama Moose & Baby Moose}

When covid testing was lifted for Alaska, I flew to Anchorage and drove to Homer. This was DAY ONE at around 9:30PM. This calf is about 5-7 days old and I can’t tell you just how special it was that I got to capture these intimate moments between the cow and her calf. Wow God and THANK YOU.

“A single crocus blossom ought to be enough to convince our heart that springtime, no matter how predictable, is somehow a gift, gratis…a grace.”

How many of us are coming out of 2020 and ready for new start? If I’ve learned anything, it would be to pursue things that matter and find joy in every moment. Photography remains the one constant to help me linger in the beauty all around me, in every season. And for that, I’m truly grateful.

The Morton Arboretum {Winter}

We had snow, sleet, and rain last night in Chicago. The sun came out this morning and we  had the most gorgeous scenery at The Morton Arboretum. We basically had an ice show and it’s impossible to document the true beauty on camera. There are things in life that you’d have to experience to deeply understand. :)

The Morton Arboretum {Winter}

And everything in time and under Heaven
Finally falls asleep
Wrapped in blankets white, all creation
Shivers underneath

And still I notice You when branches crack
And in my breath on frosted glass
Even now in death, You open doors for life to enter
You are winter

Red Rock Canyon {Nevada}

I spent a total of 12 days in December in Las Vegas, Nevada. Desperately needing the fresh air and sunshine, I bought myself an annual pass and went to Red Rock twice all by myself. Looking forward to spending many more days in 2018 there exploring and doing more photography; would love to get a couple more hiking trails under my belt too. This place is truly amazing.
