Nikki {Maternity}

This is perhaps the most unique and BOLD maternity shoot I’ve ever done. It’s not that I went out to do it that way, but given the storm that came in out of nowhere, and the trust level I had with my client…we had FUN and I just went for it! The storm came so quickly and cleared the whole beach so it worked to our advantage. :) This will probably be Nikki’s last baby, and we really wanted to capture her beautiful baby bump in all its glory! So here’s my way of telling a story…about five minutes before the storm…and then the calm, cool, and glisten of the water and everything after a good rain! Congratulations, Nikki…you are beyond beautiful and your baby girl will look back on these photos someday and will simply be AMAZED!

A couple weeks ago I had the privilege of walking in to a beautiful setting where I met a bunch of great people and had the opportunity to take portraits for them; the youngest was almost six months and oldest was almost ninety! Four generations represented. It was a huge privilege for me and it was more wonderful than I had imagined. I’m so excited that they have these beautiful images to treasure forever!

C H I C A G O {Father’s Day}

On this Father’s Day, we celebrated with a long bike ride along the lake downtown Chicago and enjoyed the magnificent skyline and iconic Buckingham fountain. I also brought out my new toy, the Canon 40mm 2.8 lens and LOVED it! For how small, fast, and affordable the lens is, I’m giving it an A+. It will be my go-to lens for adventures for sure!

Connor Price, Angelo Molineri, and Eryn Pablico were visiting from Toronto and Vegas. We thought it would be fun to take them downtown Chicago. :) While having fun at Millennium Park, Angelo, Eryn, and Chloe decided to film their Lovebug/Jonas Brothers music video. We wrapped the day with having deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria. Such a perfect day!
